National Workforce Programme The Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government have announced a new three-year, £12 million grant programme, strengthening and supporting private- and voluntary-sector organisations working with homeless people. Grants are split into four streams: -Foundations – addressing recruitment and retention issues among organisations supporting homeless people. -Training – knowledge, support and skills development for workers in the sector. -Advice – specialist housing and homelessness advice for workers in the sector. -Community – supporting and professionalising small and non-commissioned organisations in the sector to work more safely and efficiently. Priority will be given to applications that can demonstrate flexible and adaptable work, maximise their reach with online/digital technology, and involve the voices and experiences of people with lived experience of homelessness and rough sleeping. The deadline for applications is 10 December, with funding starting from April 2026. To find out more, view the programme’s prospectus on gov.uk. |
