Terms and conditions – general
Beware of the Bull will carry out work to your specification as directed by you.
Fees for all services we offer are calculated on the basis of a standard hourly rate, currently set at £60. This includes all usual business expenses. We will tell you in advance in the unlikely event that there will be any other costs on your invoice. Beware of the Bull is not VAT registered.
Because we know how important it is for you to be in control of your finances, we offer a unique ‘quote guarantee’ – once we issue a written quotation for a piece of work we guarantee the final fee charged for it will not exceed the amount given in the quote.
Payment in full is required within 30 days of the date of invoice. We are happy to accept payment by bank transfer to our account (Beware of the Bull Ltd, account number 94432614, sort code 40-47-31; HSBC Bank, 13 Parliament St, York YO1 8XS) or, if this is not possible, by cheque made payable to Beware of the Bull, and posted to our registered office: 38 Main Street, Heslington, York YO10 5EB. We reserve our statutory right to charge interest on outstanding balances in excess of 30 days up to 8% above the relevant Bank of England base rate, and accruing on a daily basis.
Exclusive and perpetual ownership of the copyright of all materials produced by us on your behalf becomes yours as soon as full payment for the work has been received by Beware of the Bull.
Conflicts of interest
We will alert you if we become aware of any potential conflict of interest, or of any issue that could be perceived to be a conflict of interest. We request that you inform us if you identify any such conflict.
We will keep in confidence any information of a confidential nature obtained during consultancy with you, unless it is information within the public domain or may otherwise be legally disclosed (eg if you give explicit consent for its disclosure).
In the process of carrying out research on your behalf, Beware of the Bull may use personal data held by you (eg if we need to identify how many of your service users fall within a certain postcode area or age range). In these cases, we will comply in full with our obligations under data protection legislation.
Keeping our clients happy
We work hard to make sure we complete jobs to a high quality and within agreed timescales. We think you will be impressed with our services, but if you have any concerns at any stage please tell us as soon as you can so we can get back on track.
